Palace on Wheels Tour Package - 7 Nights / 8 Days Trip Itinerary

Day 1Wednesday – Delhi

The journey starts at the Safdarjung Railway Station and the tourists have to reach the station on the mentioned reporting time for check in. After the formalities, they leave for Jaipur and a royal dinner is served aboard the Palace on Wheels.

Day 2Thursday – Jaipur- The Pink City

The tourists arrive in Jaipur early the next morning and enjoy a refreshing breakfast onboard. Upon arrival at the Jaipur Railway Station, they receive a traditional welcome, following the local rituals. Afterward, they disembark the train to explore the vibrant city of Jaipur. The group visits several iconic tourist spots, then enjoys a tantalizing lunch at Amber Fort, followed by a guided tour of the fort.

Afterward, tourists have time to explore the local markets. They return to the train for tea and snacks before heading to the Jai Mahal Palace for a grand dinner. Afterward, they continue their journey toward Sawai Madhopur.

Day 3Friday – Sawai Madhopur/ Chittorgarh

The day starts with an early morning forest safari to the popular Ranthambore National Park where breakfast is served in a forest lodge. The tourists return to Palace on Wheels and move further on towards Chittorgarh. They have lunch onboard before arriving in Chittorgarh. The arrival is followed by a sightseeing tour of the massive Chittorgarh Fort accompanied by refreshments at the fort and a wonderful light and sound show.

Day 4Saturday – Udaipur- City of Lakes

The arrival is marked by a refreshing breakfast at a deluxe hotel in Udaipur followed by an excursion tour of the popular city attractions. The tourists enjoy an adventurous boat ride after having lunch at a heritage hotel. They return to the railway station for evening refreshments onboard the Palace on Wheels. The journey continues towards Jaisalmer as the tourists have a lavish dinner.

Day 5Sunday – Jaisalmer- The Golden City

The day starts with a sightseeing tour of the city of the Jaisalmer. The tourists will either have a deluxe lunch on board the Palace of Wheels, or at the Hotel Moomal. They receive the evening refreshments in the sand dunes of Jaisalmer, which is followed by a venturous camel ride. The dinner is also served in the sand dunes that extend until the eyes can reach which is accompanied by a colourful and fun cultural program. They reach the train again and continue their journey towards Jodhpur.

Day 6Monday – Jodhpur- The Blue City

The tourists have an onboard breakfast lavishly in the Palace of Wheels. The breakfast is followed by a local sightseeing tour of the popular tourist destinations around the city. The tourists explore the scenic beauty of the golden skyline with miles and miles of desert that are a feast to the eyes. They have lunch in a deluxe resort after which they return to the train for a relaxing ride to Bharatpur accompanied by dinner.

Day 7Tuesday – Bharatpur/ Agra

The last day starts with an early morning bird viewing in the Keoladeo Ghana National Park followed by a breakfast in a forest lodge. The tourists return to the train and continue their journey towards their last destination, Agra. After arrival in Agra, the tourists embark on a sightseeing tour of the popular heritage sites in the city. They explore the mesmerizing beauty of the Taj Mahal and they have an option to look around in the city market. The day ends with a fun light and sound show.

Day 8Wednesday – Delhi

The tourists arrive at the Safdarjung Railway station early next morning. They receive an onboard breakfast, which is followed by farewell formalities and memories to remember forever.
