The sightseeing tour will start with a visit to the Udayagiri and the Khandagiri Caves, which have great historical, religious as well as archaeological importance and is very popular among tourists too.

You will visit the famous Lingraja temple after the visit to the caves. The Lingraja Temple is a great example of a spectacularly constructed architectural masterpiece. Followed by this, visit the Chandrabagha beach, a place with amazing scenic beauty.

Continue further down towards Puri as soon as you are done with the sightseeing in Konark. Once you are freshened up after the check-in, gear up for the visit to the Puri Jagannath temple, the most popular tourist destination, along with the Gundicha Temple. The Jagannath Temple is considered to be one of the Chaardhams, which is why it holds great religious importance among the Hindus. The Gundicha Temple is the end point of the Rath Yatra where you can pay your respects and then spend the rest of the evening relaxing on the Puri beach, or explore the local markets around. The day starts early in the morning with a delicious and hearty breakfast followed by a visit to Satpara, Chilika. Chilika is India’s largest coastal lagoon and it spreads over three districts, including Puri. The place is especially known for being home to the Irrawaddy Dolphins, a mesmerizing and rare species of dolphins, which are now endangered. Apart from these, the lagoon also has an amazing display of a variety of flora and fauna as well as aqua species.

The scenic beauty and vibrant charm of the coastal beauty attracts large numbers of people to Chilika. You are free to spend the rest of the day looking around and exploring the wetland. After that, you will return to Puri where the rest of the evening is open for you to do anything that you prefer. After this amazing day, return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
